BEACH RULES:
(as mandated by New York State)
- 2 adults (over 18) must be present to swim. This means you cannot send your kids to the beach alone.
- All children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult AT ALL TIMES -- even when a lifeguard is on duty!
- NO PETS on the beach or in the picnic area.
- NO GLASS OR BOTTLES!
- Respect the swim lines! No swimming past the swim lines for any reason. Kids must pass a swim test to go beyond the kiddie line. The outer blue line keeps the boats away, NEVER go past this line! Swimming between the last line and the blue line is prohibited as well. It has not uncommon for a jeskiier to jump the blue line!
- No children under 5 are permitted past the kiddie line, even in a flotation device and/or accompanied by a parent. Our lake depth fluctuates throughout the season and at times it is deep close to shore. Keep the kids safe by keeping them inside the kiddie line!
- No rough play, dunking, or chicken fights.
- No diving from the lifeguard chair or lifeguard stand. Moving the lifeguard chair or lifeguard stand is cause for removal from the park. Don't do it!
- NEVER Drink and Swim! Intoxicated individuals should be reported, and will be asked to leave the beach. Know your limit and never swim if you're drinking.
- Respect the private property signs of our neighbors. The shoreline around Hinckley Reservoir is mostly privately owned.
- Boats are permitted to pull up to the beach in the designated area if you are camping at Trail's End. No swimming around the boats! This is for your safety!
- No overnight parking of boats or leaving boats unattended for long periods of time. We are not responsible for boats left unattended!
- Do not leave the kids on the beach while you go out on the jetski!
